About the Project

Riverbend JCC is a fictional Jewish Community Center created as a demo project to showcase our design and development capabilities for nonprofit organizations. The goal was to reflect the mission and values of a JCC while building a modern and accessible platform that supports diverse audiences and content types.

We handled the project from research to deployment, creating a flexible block-based system, integrating donation and calendar features, and ensuring compatibility with tools like HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Salesforce. The result is a responsive, user-friendly website with a clean structure and powerful features tailored to community needs.

Steps of the Project

We divided the project into multiple milestones and phases, each carefully planned to guarantee on-time and accurate completion.

Research, Copywriting, and Prototyping

Low-fidelity layouts were created after extensive research to test content flow before moving into the visual design stage. The website content was also prepared.
Visual Identity and UI Design

We developed a clean, empathetic, and user-friendly design that reflects the social and communal aspects of the project.
Website Development

Clean, semantic HTML/CSS with animations and transitions for interactivity. CMS integration for easy content management (support for multiple admins). Donation flow connected to existing or new payment infrastructure.
Testing & Optimization

Accessibility tested (WCAG AA level), including keyboard navigation and color contrast. Performance optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Responsive behavior reviewed on phones and tablets used by the target visitor demographic.

We created a sleek, user-friendly design with meaningful imagery and relevant CTAs to connect users with the core values and mission of the Riverbend JCC.

Additionally, essential features and tools were incorporated to ensure seamless website management and maintenance after project completion and handover.

This enables users to adjust website elements such as font sizes, contrast levels, and image sizes to their comfort level.

We've also integrated a text-to-speech option along with other relevant features to ensure maximum accessibility.

An all-in-one platform for marketing, sales, and customer service automation, helping businesses attract and engage customers.

Stripe

A payments processing platform that enables businesses to accept online payments securely via APIs and embedded checkout flows.

A marketing automation platform focused on email campaigns, audience management, and driving customer engagement.

Jewish Calendar

This feature is built directly into the website, providing convenient date conversion and helping users stay up to date with Jewish holidays and other important events.

Quickly convert dates between the Gregorian and Jewish calendars for planning and documentation.

A complete list of holidays, fasts, and memorial days with descriptions and significance levels.

Accurate Shabbat and holiday candle-lighting times for your specific location.

Advanced search functionality

This powerful feature enables users to search for any keywords and instantly receive relevant news, events, posts, and other results.
